Homely Escapade
A complete internal renovation and external facelift turned this home into a private resort villa.This semi-detached house in Serangoon Gardens was restructured, reconfigured and transformed into a luxurious two-storey bungalow. Designer Ron Leow from Asialand ID took inspiration from highend contemporary resorts, and wanted to imbue the house with a similar vibe.

Managing director Ron Leow has developed the company's reputation as a company that can efficiently tear down and rebuild entirely new buildings, while providing the owners with the dream home they've always wanted. In the near future, Ron and his team will be focusing on the commercial sector, with retail, offices and even industrial projects lined up.

A nuanced ..... Approach
Moving from a high-rise HDB to a semi-detached house opens up a whole new world of design possibilities, but it can also be challenging lifestyle-wise. The owner of this double-storey property at Upper Neram Road was initially worried about the house being stuffy and overly warm, having previously lived in a breezy apartment on a high floor.

Tropical Contempo
This particular HDB flat is a clear example of how tropical influences can still play a part in a home interior without overwhelming. "The idea was to create a largely contemporary looking space," clarifies designer Ron Leow of Asialand, "and have tropical elements come in subtle bite-sized portions." They were, after all, gunning not just for a look, but a general feel of warmth and ease.

Large Family Living
This house has it all. Distinctly modern and luxurious, this bright and airy house comfortably accomodate a family of ten. An open concept plan opens up the space and allows on to take in an expensive view of the house at a glance.

ALTERNATIVE TEXTURE AND MATERIALS - HIGH OCTANE GLOSS
Strong lines and bold colours characterise this stylishly modern home of a young executive. The three dimension wall spanning across the living area exudes modernity and luxury especially when used in contrast against surrounding smoothness of glossy tiles, LCD television, tinted glass and mirrors. Addig an element of warmth to the living and resting areas are thick luxurious rug and curtains that enhance the elements on the walls.

The house, designer Ron Leow said, was designed such that it is spacious enough so quality time can be enjoyed with family and friends. They wanted a home that welcomed light into all spaces for a bright and airy feel, so that "no one corner is dim".  As such the structure is designed with generous glass doors adn windows that look out to compound while bringing light to every corner.

LIVING LARGE  - ASIALAND ID CONSTRUCTS  AN ENTIRELY NEW AND SPACIOUS MODERN HOUSE TO ACCOMODATE  THE NEEDS OF A BIG FAMILY.
It was not an easy task for Ron Leow to convert a one-storey house into an abode that's large  wnough to accomodate his client's family of ten. Still the designer from ASIALAND ID adepthly gave the house a complete overhaul and emerged with 418 square-meter , two-and-a-half-storey construct that caters to the large family's everyday needs and penchant for entertaining. Spacious, airly and distinctly modern, the house is practically as it is stylish.

BLACK AND BOLD - ASIALAND ID CREATES A SUAVE AND MODERN HOME THAT BANKS ON THE COLOUR BLACK FOR PUNCH.
Many designer routinely avoid black, regarding it as harsh and daunting - a colour that does more harm than good in home interiors. In his design of this terrace house in Yio Chu Kang, however Ron Leow of Asialand ID reiterates his affinity for the colour. He says, "Black is very effective in creating a sleek and modern look. In a home , it makes a bold statement too, quite unlike white. "
